Unida Members, Gear & Sound

Unida is a formidable force in the stoner rock and desert rock scene, originating from the fertile musical grounds of California. The band was formed by John Garcia (vocals), after the dissolution of the legendary Kyuss, alongside Arthur Seay (guitar), Dave Dinsmore (bass), and Mike Cancino (drums). Following Dinsmore's departure, Scott Reeder took over bass duties. Unida is known for their powerful blend of space rock, sludge metal, and stoner metal, delivering a gritty yet expansive sound that's both raw and atmospheric. Their 1999 full-length album Coping With the Urban Coyote is a testament to their prowess in crafting hypnotic riffs and thunderous rhythms.
