In the famous "DotA" music video, Basshunter (along with other people) can be seen wearing what originally was the Icemat Siberia Headset. It first appears 0:11 into the video.

Since then, Icemat and SteelSeries merged into one brand, as stated in Icemat's Wikipedia page: "Icemat is now known as SteelSeries, and Icemat's website now redirects there. In 2007, SteelSeries decided to merge both brands."

Also, in the "In popular culture" section of the same page, it is stated that: "The Icemat Siberia headphones are featured in the Basshunter music video "Vi sitter i Ventrilo och spelar DotA"."

Nowadays, the SteelSeries Siberia V2 and Siberia 200 are updated and more accessible versions of the original headset that Basshunter used in this music video.

Basshunter utilizes Image Line's FL Studio for producing electronic music. According to an interview with Image-Line, he appreciates the program's intuitive sequencer and piano roll, which allow him to create melodies and harmonies swiftly. He also values FL Studio for its user-friendly interface and low system requirements, enabling smooth operation on standard PCs or laptops.

This video was recorded by Basshunter himself to show how he makes his melodies. At 0:05, the V-Station synth is visible in his channel rack, and at 2:42, you can see the piano roll with a melody using the V-Station synth.
