There's this "certain gear IQ" rule for editing bands and stuff. Couldn't this rule be applied to our image issue? Maybe Gear IQ 600 or so, that could prevent "false" people from changing photos. There are many music gear pages that would need some "affection". I would be very happy to see images like this changed to a more fitting one. I also added "some" music gear myself and could change some of the unfitting/outdated pictures. Certainly many other users would be glad if they could comtribute to this site by themselves (positively). You could also block users with high gear IQ if they start uploading inappropriate images or disable this rule completely if it didn't work. Thank you for reading. Stay healthy. Love.

Guitars: I like the sound of the old Hofner verythin and archtops. If you could get one of the ones, made for Germany (called Höfner) it could be the guitar of your life. To the epis... Like Jim said: Most of them are junk. Junk? Total dogshit. LP's, SG's are extremely bad, Sheratons are unplayable. My Casino is really good, but I advise you not to buy one of those because of the horrible feedbacks it makes if you try to distort it. So you should buy a guitar with a sustain block in it like the Gretsch Streamliner. I tried one of those in a store. It seemed to be quite good. It sounded well, did not make those feedbacks and played well. I would buy one of those. You should go to a store and test the guitar before you buy it. Gives savety. Pedals: In my opinion you don't need any pedals for playing guitar in school. When I was in school I baught a wah but I never used it. So think twice before buying a pedal. A overdrive for soloing would not be bad, but is not necessary in my opinion. Amp: ask Jim.

What is the oldest guitar you have?
I've got a late 50s Höfner President German version. The neck is a bit concave, but it still plays and sounds great. It can be seen in my first gear photo (right side). I took out the original bridge to install a Shadow SH980. My second oldest guitar is a 1962 Höfner 456/S/E1. Actually I don't know exactly if it's a 456. It could also be a 457. One tends to confuse the 457 with the 456. The only way to differentiate them for sure is to identify the wood type of the Soundboard. The 457 has a spruce top, the 456 has a maple top. Both guitars are great.

My old Hofners in (shelac) Sunburst. My sparkle light blue Rickenbacker 4001. I do not like artificially aged finishes. Maybe a Strat in a dark red (like candy apple). Natural on acoustics and Casinos. SGs in Heritage Cherry. Everything else in Sunburst. Those colours are pretty cool.

New Equipboard Categorization - FAQ & Feedback
Maybe a new category could be added (e.g. like this: Instrument Accessories, Amplifier Accessories, Parts, Loudspeakers). That would be very convenient for you (and a few more others, I think).

New Equipboard Categorization - FAQ & Feedback
I think there is a problem with the effects pedals. On my board there are tuners, a speaker and even a valve tube. But they are categorized correctly...

New Equipboard Categorization - FAQ & Feedback
It's all that gear you have bruh! Jk
Question: Is a "Past Gear" or "Previously Owned Gear" Category plausible? I feel like this got brought up before and I think this would be pretty badass
That would be really cool!

My standard guitar is a Casino, but the feedbacks it makes are horrible. So I have bought a Epiphone Slash AFD les paul beginner kit because I needed a cheap guitar wich does not feedback. It was ok for the price but I would not buy it a second time. Now I modified it with a Hofner Shorty bridge pickup and a few stickers but I do not like that guitar at all.
