This little device is great paired with any of the matching headphone amplifiers from the Vox Amplug 2 range.
It also works great with other, similar headphone amps, like the Xvive Classic Rock GA-3 that I have.
Due to it's size, it lacks some of the lower bass frequencies, but has a surprising amount of it for what it is.
I own 2 units and I've modded speaker outputs in both. This mini amp SHINES pushing larger speakers, like my 4x4 custom cabinet.
In short, it's Great for practice and jamming, but NEEDS a speaker out jack!
It looks cool, sounds cool, and does what it says on the tin.
It's by no means a cranked AC30, but it gets close enough to do tracks at home and small gigs (if you use it with an external cab).
There's a "hidden" feature if you use a Stereo-to-2-Mono Y cable, and stick the stereo tip in the "treble boost out" jack, where it works like an "FX Loop" between the internal Treble Booster and the input of the power amp. Try it out and see what you can do with that!
Overall, very neat little amp for Brian May fans to enjoy.
The amp does sound cool and has some neat tones, but there's a flaw which guarantees it fails eventually in normal use.
The power amp chip in it (TDA7052: https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/data-sheet/TDA7052B.pdf) is pushed into FAILURE when you crank the volume. The datasheet shows (pg.7, fig.9) that with the stock 8 Ohm speaker, it should be working at 6V max on the power supply, when this device works off a 9v battery!
It should use a 16 ohms speaker to properly work at 9v without issues. So, I hightly recommend that you change the speaker for a 16 Ohms one, and add a speaker out while you're at it, or it's a waste of money to keep buying these as they burn up.
This amp is GREAT for what it is! Affordable, well-built, simple to use, and kinda cute too!
There's definitely improvements you can do, and I HIGHLY recommend them. I've done a soft-clipping mod, which gives it a more tube-y characteristic to the drive, as well as a speaker out mod, which is VERY useful for band practice and small gigs.
It's good stock, but MUCH better modded!
Here's how mine sounds like now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSoHrVhNreY
It's an amazing device for home practice and even some home recording. Sounds great, with simple controls and very useful effects on the side.
If you ever find one for cheap anywhere, get it. Even if you don't like how it sounds, it's just a cute Vox head replica that's fun to collect.
An amazing little pocket monster!
This little guy is amazing. Not only does it sound great and is way cheaper than similar products in the market, it's got a rechargeable battery built-in, so you never have to worry about buying batteries for it for a LONG time!
Get one.
It's cheap.
It works.
IT'S RECHARGEABLE!
This is an amazing pedal. If you get it, look into doing the Time knob mod.
Goes from one-trick-pony to unicorn warrior with the Time knob mod!
It's like having a boutique delay pedal without killing your wallet.
Just NEVER buy any Danelectro pedals new, ONLY used. Their CEO funds shady candidates.
I've put it side-by-side with Tube Screamers and they sound THE SAME.
Get these, save some bucks to buy other stuff (better cables are always nice).
If you're a Marshall fan, this is the pedal to get.
You can get most Marshall tones you'd want from this little guy and nobody will notice it's just a pedal.
Shhh.
It's out secret
Keep it!
If you're a fan of Big Muff tones but can't afford the original, this is the pedal for you.
It also works amazingly well as a booster with the gain down and volume blasted.
I recommend you try one, you might like it.
A bit too much gain for me, but has it's place.
Nothing special on this one. It's a basic compressor that does exactly what it needs to do: compress audio.
If you need one and this is in your budget, get it.
t's a compressor. It works. Move on next question.
This cable is great, it works great and it should be made A Thing that everyone uses.
Comfortable, simple controls, amazing tones, affordable, and PRETTY.
It does need shielding, but besides that, it's an excellent instrument for the price range and I LOVE IT!
Get it, set it up, and rock on.
I take a Game Dev course, and my group needed songs for the game we were making. At first I used Caustic 3 for most songs, but the boss theme just wasn't coming out like I wanted. So, I tried other ways to make the song until I landed on this App.
It's much more powerful that you'd expect from a portable console, and fun to use, too! It took me a whole weekend to learn how to use it enough to make the track I needed (https://soundcloud.com/blackcorvo/qwertzacontrol), and I LOVE using it!
In summary, it's a simple but great tool for making music quickly.
it has the "take my breath away" bass synth it's fun bew bow baw bew BOW
Maybe mine's broken, just don't like it very much. probably gonna mod it someday.
