D-6 FAB Flange Review: So the flange was a good choice for the type of... | Danelectro | Guitar Effects | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

ultimate-guitar.com

The Danelectro D-6 FAB Flange offers decent sound quality with a simple, user-friendly interface, making it a fun choice for beginners or casual players. However, it suffers from a pronounced and sometimes annoying "swooshing" sound at maximum settings, which detracts from its versatility. While reliable and durable enough for backup use, it may not suffice for professional gigging musicians who require higher-end gear. Its affordability is a strong point, but it doesn't quite hit the mark for those seeking a more refined flange effect.

The Danelectro D-6 FAB Flange offers an accessible entry into the world of flanger effects with its affordable price tag and unique sound. However, its lack of versatility might not satisfy more demanding players, and some users have expressed concerns about its design, particularly the stomp button. Ideal for those experimenting with new sounds, but serious musicians seeking a robust and versatile flanger might want to explore other options.

Save Your Money

I'll give it two stars because it's interesting- but not because it's good. This does not sound anything like a flanger, no matter how it's dialed in. You're better off with one of the Joyo Flangers.
