Bourgeois Guitars is an American acoustic guitar maker founded by luthier Dana Bourgeois, who built his first instruments in a college dorm room in the early 1970s and established his own company after an earlier partnership in Schoenberg Guitars. The shop operates out of a historic 1850s mill in Lewiston, Maine, where a small team produces a few hundred hand-built steel-string acoustics and mandolins each year.

The brand is known for flat-top acoustics with hand-voiced, tap-tuned tops, a proprietary scalloped X-bracing pattern, and a removable bolt-on neck joint.
