Hayman is an English musical instrument brand established in 1968 by Ivor Arbiter in partnership with the John E. Dallas Company. Originally launched as "George Hayman" before the name was shortened, the company set out to produce loud, projecting kits that could compete with American-made drums during the era of increasingly amplified music. The drums became known for their Vibrasonic shells — internal polyurethane coatings designed to enhance resonance and projection — alongside hardware innovations such as fold-out Holdfast bass drum spurs, triple-flange hoops, baseball-bat dampers and adjustable swivel tom mounts.

From 1970 to 1973, the brand also produced electric guitars and basses for Dallas-Arbiter, designed by Jim Burns and Bob Pearson and built in London. The line included the three-pickup solid-body Hayman 1010, the hollow-body 2020 and the 30/30 bass, several of which carried a Vibrasonic tone chamber inspired by the drum line. After Dallas-Arbiter folded, key members of the guitar team went on to form Shergold.

The original Hayman drums were used by a number of British rock and progressive players of the late 1960s and 1970s, including Michael Giles of King Crimson, Bill Bruford of Yes, Jim Capaldi of Traffic, Simon Kirke of Free, Bob Henrit of Argent, Mitch Mitchell of the Jimi Hendrix Experience and Aynsley Dunbar. The brand has since been revived with updated production techniques that draw on the original Vibrasonic designs.
