Founded in 1984 by Sho Sato, a Japanese immigrant who started the company with a borrowed desk and telephone in Buena Park, California, Hosa Technology has grown into one of the most widely used cable and connectivity brands in the music and pro audio industries. The company initially made its name supplying adaptors and interconnects to musicians and studios, and its multi-channel snakes became a staple of recording studios throughout the 1980s and 1990s.

Hosa manufactures a comprehensive range of analog and digital connectivity products, including instrument cables, microphone cables, patch cables, speaker cables, snakes, adapters, and digital cables (USB, HDMI, ADAT optical, AES/EBU, S/PDIF). The company's instrument cable lineup spans three tiers: Hosa Edge, a premium touring line with genuine Neutrik connectors and heavy-duty OFC conductors; Hosa Pro (HGTR series), a professional workhorse line with REAN connectors by Neutrik AG; and Hosa Standard, an affordable entry point with all-metal plugs and OFC conductors. All Hosa products carry a lifetime warranty.

Known for offering reliable, affordable connectivity solutions, Hosa is a go-to brand for working musicians, DJs, recording studios, live sound engineers, and A/V professionals. The company remains family-owned, with leadership passing from Sato to his daughter Mayumi Allison, and continues to operate out of its Buena Park, California headquarters.

Hosa has 56 products cataloged on Equipboard, including Instrument Cables, Patchbays, and Microphone Cables. Their gear is featured by 13 artists, with the strongest followings in Rock, Metal, and Pop. Notable users include Jared Dines, Ryan "Fluff" Bruce, and Tony Cappochi.
