Mogami is a Japanese manufacturer of professional audio cables, founded in 1957 by Tetsu Sato in Tokyo. The company takes its name from the Mogami River in Yamagata Prefecture, Sato's home region. All Mogami cables are manufactured at the company's factory in Nagano, Japan, under the supervision of president Koichi Hirabayashi, whose father Naoichi Hirabayashi helped grow the business in its early years. Mogami operates in the US as a division of Marshall Electronics, based in Torrance, California.
