Orangewood is a direct-to-consumer guitar brand based in Los Angeles, California, founded by brothers Eddie and Sooj Park. The Korean-American siblings moved to California in 2004 and launched Orangewood's first collection in 2018 with a mission to make quality acoustic instruments accessible to a new generation of players. All instruments are designed and set up in Los Angeles, with manufacturing in China and Indonesia.
The brand's acoustic lineup spans several collections at different price tiers — Topanga, Highland, Melrose, Overland, and Playa — covering dreadnought, grand auditorium, grand concert, parlor, and mini body shapes. Popular models include the Oliver, Juniper, Brooklyn, Sage, and Hudson, many of which are available in acoustic-electric "Live" variants, as well as 12-string, nylon-string, rubber bridge, and left-handed configurations. Orangewood has also expanded into electric guitars with the Del Sol offset and the Clementine double-cutaway, along with a Marina collection of ukuleles.
Orangewood has built a sizable artist roster spanning genres, including Alejandro Aranda, Ricky Montgomery, Lennon Stella, Tomo Fujita, Molly Miller, and Jonah Kagen, among many others. The brand has gained a reputation in the guitar community for punching above its price point, with instruments that ship set up and ready to play straight out of the box.
Orangewood has 23 products cataloged on Equipboard, including Steel-string Acoustic Guitars, Acoustic-Electric Guitars, and Ukuleles. Their gear is featured by 25 artists, with the strongest followings in Rock, Pop, and Folk, World, & Country. Notable users include Nicole Cerminara, Twooba, and Billie Eilish. Most Orangewood products fall in the mid-tier range — professional-grade without flagship pricing.
