PPG (Palm Products GmbH) is a German synthesizer maker founded by Wolfgang Palm in Hamburg in 1975. The company began by building small runs of modular synthesizers — the 300 Series — for acts like Tangerine Dream, before moving to portable monosynths such as the PPG 1002 and 1020, the latter introducing the digitally controlled oscillators that became part of the brand's signature sound.

PPG is most closely associated with the introduction of wavetable synthesis, which Wolfgang Palm pioneered in 1979. The technology powered the PPG Wave series, including the Wave 2, Wave 2.2 and Wave 2.3, built between 1981 and 1987 and recognized as one of the defining hybrid digital/analog synthesizers of the 1980s. Other notable products from this era include the Waveterm sampler/sequencer workstation and the 1003 Sonic Carrier. The Wave was widely adopted by artists such as David Bowie, Depeche Mode, Tangerine Dream, Thomas Dolby, Tears For Fears, Jean Michel Jarre, Gary Numan, Pet Shop Boys, Stevie Wonder, Rush and Ultravox.

Palm is widely credited as a pioneer of digital and wavetable synthesis, and PPG's design lineage flowed directly into Waldorf's Microwave and later wavetable instruments. The PPG name has continued through software plugins and iOS apps developed by Wolfgang Palm, and through hardware reissues such as the PPG 1002, returning the brand to analog synthesizer manufacturing.

PPG has 9 products cataloged on Equipboard, including Synthesizers and Synth Plugins. Their gear is featured by 88 artists, with the strongest followings in Rock, Electronic, and Pop. Notable users include Geddy Lee, Martin L. Gore, and Calvin Harris.
