Electronic Music Laboratories (EML) was an American synthesizer manufacturer founded in 1968 in Vernon, Connecticut by former Gerber Scientific employees Dale Blake, Norman Millard, Dennis Daugherty, and Jeff Murray. The company built its reputation on the Electrocomp series of analog synthesizers, marketed as more reliable and affordable alternatives to Moog, ARP, and EMS instruments thanks to their use of op-amps in place of discrete transistors, which made them far less prone to tuning drift across temperature changes.

The Electrocomp 101 became EML's flagship product, a four-VCO synth with selectable waveforms that sold roughly a thousand units and undercut competing instruments on price. Other models included the duophonic Electrocomp 100, designed to compete with the Minimoog and ARP 2600, and the more portable Electrocomp 500 aimed at the live performance market. EML stopped manufacturing synthesizers in 1976 after two key employees left to form Star Instruments (the Synare drum synth makers), but the company continued contract design and repair work until 1984.

EML instruments found their way into the hands of artists including Allen Ravenstine and Robert Wheeler of Pere Ubu, Tommy Mars and Peter Wolf during their work with Frank Zappa, Skinny Puppy, Weezer, Foreigner, and Brian Kehew and Roger Manning of The Moog Cookbook. Jonn Serrie served as the company's "synthesist in residence" for a period.
