Wonderful bass strings that just keep going! If you have a bass that you occasionally use then these strings may last a lifetime, so overall a great investment.

My go to bass string

A wonderful set for long lasting great tone. Admittedly, a fresh set sounds a little duller than a standard string set, but within a week they have retained their new sound while the other strings have carried on and become duller. In the long term, these sound better for longer. While I might not record an album with these strings, these are by standard strings!

Pretty Decent

Overall a solid choice! Very clear, very light, very comfortable. While I wouldn’t mix a song on it, they are great for plugging into my Helix for practice, just ensure that there’s no high cut on the global EQ. I thought they were rubbish for months until I realised the global eq was cutting all highs, even from the AUX in!

This is what all humbuckers should be! It’s silent, it’s articulate, it sounds great! These in my jazzmaster make me happy!

Good?

At the time I expected magic in a box. Instead I didn’t appreciate this needs to go through a full amp rig and be played loud. I regret selling my original, but that’s life

Korn?

If you want to play Korn bass, this is perfect. However, I don’t, so it dormant work for me. Or at least it didn’t in the early 2000s.

Fun!

This pedal nails that 2000s metal tone like murderdolls. Is not in fashion now but that pedal is just fun!

Still holds up

It’s a fantastic multiprocessor that still sounds good today. Its weakness is the speaker cabs, so using an IR loader is needed to compete with modern devices. That said, dual signal processing still sounds great

Ultimate tone!

My tone was always lacking, and all the other death metal sludgecore bands laughed at me for my lack of watery destructive fuzz overdrive destruction. Not any more. As soon as I plugged into this fuzz, everyone in the room’s flesh melt and fall to the floor as I unleashed a demon of epic tone proportions to destroy the souls of every mortal before feasting on their dismembered bodies. Truly the most brutal fuzz to ever grace this dark earth!

Subtle, but better than changing pickups

In the 2000s I went through every set of EMG pickups to find ‘my tone’. £1k later I wasn’t satisfied. While expensive, this pedal lets you tweak the tone in a very usable way that is more effective than changing pickups. It’s not essential on my board, but as I have space I use it and am that little happier with my tone.

Subtle but works

This pedal is subtler but does what you think it would. The reverbs are pretty great and usable. The build quality is OK, could be better/ metal. But the correction is the best feature because it always sounds natural.

This pedal is a gentle voice sweetener instead of drastic auto tune. It’s my always on vocal pedal.

Ultimate tone!

It takes a bit of force, but with a big enough smash with a hammer you can get this to mate with the helix’s USB cable port. Dear God, it’s like God himself is shaming on my guitar and breaking down the walls of hell to deliver tones enough for Jesus to cry.

The worst pedal on earth

It’s funny if your a small kid, but frankly who would add this to their board‽ just burn it with fire!

Combined with the 40p5 in the neck, this j pickup is incredible! Simple, it just sounds great!

The best ever soap bar!

I tried every EMG soapbar pickup in my bass and this one was the best! As a PJ set they are unbeatable to my ear!

Incredible!

It sounds perfect with my helix, is light enough to travel with and just works. I am not a fan of the built in cab sim, but that’s just how it goes.

Loved since day 1

An excellent upgrade for fender guitars with trem units. They help keep my jazzmaster in tune and just work perfectly

Excellent upgrade

For £45, this is a solid upgrade to the standard bent steel assembly that ships as standard. It’s just solid and helps with the balance a little.

A great microphone

It’s basic but does the job perfectly every time and is built like a tank!
