Think Teen Spirit or a Boost for High Gain Amps

Great for Boost and great for Distortion into a good Tube Amp that takes Pedals well. I generally use as a boost for w/a high gain amp w/the gain at 5 or 6.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

As a boost for Hi Gain Amps like a Mesa, Framus, etc. I set the Tone at 9 o'clock - Level at 3 o'clock - Distortion at 1/8 of an inch up from zero(almost all the way off).

Makes my Clean Channel loud as hell when turned half way up.

Sounds like a Sunn Model T and it's great for a Fuzz. It's easily dialed to taste by the volume knob on your guitar. I Freakiin' Luv It!

H+H Pro IC100 S - Solid State/Mosfet Amp Head made in early-mid 1970's

Sustain is one of the strangest Overdrives that I've ever heard built into an Amp. Built like a Tank and will probably run for 40+ years w/out maintenance. The IC 100 Amp's were made famous by T-Rex, Pink Floyd, The Clash and Daniel Ash(Bauhaus, Love & Rockets). The Amp has 2 Channels: 1 Super-Clean and a nasty Bright(Clean) Channel w/a Sustain switch. It plays well w/pedals as well the Amp has a Stage/Studio Volume Attenuator which is impressive for the '70s. Great Glam, Post-Punk Amp that will roar over the volume of a Band.

Great German-Built Valve Amp with shimmering Cleans to Britsh Crunch and an Overdrive that's considered the Holy Grail of Metal.

I've revised this review after this amp had been put head to head w/every boutique metal amp on the planet. It beats out Diezel, Driftwood, Mesa, etc and this is why no one is selling them. This is probably the most brutal amp ever made w/a nice punch to it. The chassis is not as tough as I think it should be. So a good shock mounted case is a must for touring. This Cobra responds to G12's best, however, it sounds killer w/a Mesa or Uber 4x12. ACHTUNG: YOU WILL BLOW this AMP/TRANSFORMER if it's not plugged into a Cabinet or Load Box for even 2 seconds. The FX Loop is TRS/Balanced. So only studio grade or balanced outboard effects can be used in the loop. It takes a bit of tweaking the EQ, but it is well worth it. Framus Cobra and Dragon Amps have been used by the likes of Killing Joke, Deftones, Napalm Death, Killswitch Engage and many more.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

12 o'clock is a good start w/the volumes turned down very LOW!

Best American Guitar I've played since picking up a 1953 Les Paul

Big and thick neck. Great for everything, but not a Shredder's guitar.
