IC100-S Head Review: This is a superb amp. It does need a little help... | HH Electronic | Guitar Amplifiers | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

ultimate-guitar.com

The HH Electronics IC100-S Head is a vintage amp with both charm and quirks. While its clean channel delivers sparkling tones with a rich, lush sound ideal for pedals, the onboard distortion leaves much to be desired without external tweaks. Its noisy high-power mode and lackluster features, like the "sustain" knob, limit its versatility. Despite some reliability concerns common with vintage gear, it remains a solid choice for classic rock enthusiasts who appreciate its unique character and are willing to overlook its flaws.

H+H Pro IC100 S - Solid State/Mosfet Amp Head made in early-mid 1970's

Sustain is one of the strangest Overdrives that I've ever heard built into an Amp. Built like a Tank and will probably run for 40+ years w/out maintenance. The IC 100 Amp's were made famous by T-Rex, Pink Floyd, The Clash and Daniel Ash(Bauhaus, Love & Rockets). The Amp has 2 Channels: 1 Super-Clean and a nasty Bright(Clean) Channel w/a Sustain switch. It plays well w/pedals as well the Amp has a Stage/Studio Volume Attenuator which is impressive for the '70s. Great Glam, Post-Punk Amp that will roar over the volume of a Band.
