i love my Omen 8. after listening to Call of Duty ZOMBIES songs since CoD W@W, i knew i needed to learn songs like Beauty of Annihilation. upon learning that Kevin was using an 8 string for these songs, i saved some birthday cash and bought one of these bad boys on sale for $370. the guitar is beautiful (i own the black version), and the neck feels great. the only downsides i can find with this guitar are the pickups being pretty damn muddy - especially the bridge - which is a shame, and the hardware looking fairly dull. however, it is still an overall great instrument for the price range, and i likely will never sell it, even if i bought a nicer 8.

this is easily one of my favorite guitars. sp00ky bat inlays aside (let's be honest, they're kind of corny), this guitar is gorgeous. the pictures online do not do it justice. i saw one for $450 at Guitar Center used, and instantly fell in love. the pups sound smooth and dynamic, not sacrificing any clean tone, though the high gain sounds are still flawless. the only gripe i had was that mind had some bum wiring, which caused the pickup selector to act funny at times. this led me to sell it, which crushed me inside. however, if you find one of these things used, definitely consider it. they are incredibly fast, and easy to play guitars.

considering i use this almost exclusively as a boost for my Peavey 5150 and Orange Micro Dark, my review is very one-sided. however, for my uses of the 808, it is by far my favorite Tube Screamer, that i've used. it really tightens up the flubby low-end of my Mico Dark, as well as boosts the mids with the Tone knob as well. great pedal, and i would definitely recommend it to any Metal guitarist trying to get a tighter tone.

considering i moved from an NS-2 to this, i am definitely going to 'fan-out' all over this pedal. it is super tight, and responsive; the slightest turn of the knob actually has an effect on the sound, and tone succ is very minimal, for the most part. this is a g8 G8, and i r8 8/8.

ever since finding an ISP Decimator (for $60 mind you), i almost immediately trashed this thing. there is simply no comparison for a tight, accurate, and responsive Gate. however, this thing definitively isn't useless. the price is a major selling point, especially considering i've found these things going for under $50 used. if you dial this thing in right, it can be reliable, but honestly for maybe $20 more used, you could get an ISP Decimator or MXR Smart Gate, and get far better and simpler results. this pedal is useful though, so even though i despise it, it still does what it should do. just sucks a bit too much tone for my liking.

this pedal is perfect if you want to make things sound like ass. the only reason i bought it was the name, but found myself enjoying it's harsh sound. frankly, it's almost impossible to get a good tone from this thing, but then again that's why it's great. i may sell it at some point for amp money, but it is still a very fun pedal. if you have the money, they are fairly reasonably priced on the used market, and sound like ass. 10/10

now, this is a 5150; it sounds fucking great. however, the cabinet's speakers sound like angry bees swarming a Metalzone. i had one, loved it but it was too heavy, sold it, bought it back, and recently sold it again so i can save up for a 5153 50 watt. why? two reasons; one, the aforementioned ass speakers, and two, the horrendous weight problem. it is an 80lbs amp, which absolutely makes this thing a pain in the ass to carry around. if you want a 60watt 5150, definitely considering having the head removed from the cab, or do what i'm doing, and buy a 5153 50watt. doesn't sound like a Peavey, but it still sounds incredible so hey, still better than lugging around this monolith to band practice.
