1989 Les Paul Custom Black Beauty. All stock.
Upgraded with renewed wiring, 3-way toggle, Schaller Locking tuners and Seymour Duncan SH5 in the bridge position.
Replaced the default EMG 81/60 pickups with 57/66's. Great tone, insanely fast neck, surprisingly good sustain considering its thinness and weight.
Hated the default EMG 81/60 tone. Threw in some Bareknuckle pickups, still don't like the sound. Lovely feel though.

Even if the latest AxeFX or Quad Cortex might be slightly more realistic sounding, the ease of use the Helix combines with the quality of amp models and effects is unparalleled.
And with each (free!) software update that quality keeps on growing.
Hands down, this really is the best overdrive pedal I've ever heard.
