Last night I locked myself in my studio to start rehearsing for the Sixx:A.M. tour. After I finished the set list, I ended up playing damn near every song we've ever recorded! I could NOT put this guitar down. This guitar is a BEAST! Cant wait to get this thing on the road! :)

In a live performance of Sixx:A.M.'s "Life Is Beautiful" at Crue Fest, DJ Ashba is seen playing a customized Ernie Ball Music Man Axis guitar. He preferred this model early in his career due to its single volume short shaft configuration, which he found more suitable than Les Pauls.

His signature Gibson has APH-1 Alnico II Pro and SH-4 JB.

...we call it the cigarette burn guitar because I put all my cigarettes out on it. Um I usually use this one in songs like "This I Love," uh let's see what other songs do I play? "November Rain," um yeah, I don't even know what songs I play with. ... Well, it just seemed it kind of happened slowly, you know, one time I was playing. Put one out and uh next song, you know, and over time it it turned out looking like an ashtray. It's pretty cool to me.
