Perfert clean boost
I used to have the level at minimum and use this as an always on pedal in front of a Princeton reverb. It was the perfect clean boost, the boost was only slight but the smoothing effect it had on the amp was perfect for single coils, it took away any kind of harshness and gave a more pleasing balanced sound.

Touch sensitive and loud
For a pretty cheaply built amp this one shocked me. The clean sounds are incredible, pushed into overdrive the crunch is great too. the way it responds to dynamics really impressed me. I have seen people calling it a pedal platform and i have to agree, it takes drives well but i was more impressed by the way it takes delays and reverbs.

It is what it is
It's hard to complement and hard to complain about, an 8 inch speaker really isn't going to be doing anyone any favours. It could always be useful when you can't get loud but nowadays i think people would rather just use an amps sim and headphones.

Resilient
Still going strong after 13 years, more or less... Personally it's all I need from it sounds great and it's incredibly easy to maintain, my only gripe is the weight. This one's a back breaker, definitely not a live bass but as for recording not bad at all!

Massive quality control issues
Mine arrived with what I would probably call no setup at all. The action wasn't actually that low but the truss rod obviously need adjusting because every fret buzzed, there was just no way to get a clean sound on any fret. There were spots of rust on about 30% of the frets and a few almost entirely rusted frets. Scratches and chips to the hardware and gloss, some unpainted spots of wood too. The bridge is pretty cool with high ratio tuners on so i think when set up well it could keep tuning very well. Unfortunately the arm that extended from the body for a strap in the original design has been removed for the new productions leaving them quite unbalanced and not the most comfortable instrument. I think unfortunately theses are a bit of a cash grab by Gibson and shouldn't be associated with the desirable Steinbergers of the past.

Great compact looper
Great update on the original, the ability to record a longer loop over the original short loop is great as is the fact that you can import loops or samples over usb.

It's a tank
I've had this for around 10 or 11 years now and its still going strong, i thought it was dying when it started to turn of whenever i tried to tune the D and B strings, turned out it was actually bad power supply causing issues and it's still going strong.

Nice crunchy analog repeats
Fantastic with a light to medium overdrive, with the bright switch engaged theres a wonderful crunch to the repeats. turning on the modulation section will instantly warm the tone, and can bring you to an almost memory man style delay. it's also great with clean sounds, a little modulation and a slightly lower mix gives a great warming ambiance to your sound. I'd highly recommend this to anyone after an analog delay.

It's fine but i feel you are better of buying a separate reverb and delay
I quite liked the reverb, it was a super simple 2 knob reverb not really much more to it. However the delay was a big disappointment, i found it to be very thin and never sat right with either clean or overdriven sounds, i never tried it with anything high gain. I was looking forward to another reverse delay but ended up underwhelmed. The swell mode actually sounded alright but the sensitivity on it left something to be desired.
Overall i'd say it's a pretty poor delay that can thankfully be covered by a blanket of reverb.
