Beautiful and versatile amp!

It has 2 channels and reverb. I love using the OD channel with low gain settings. It sings, roars and can be used it everywhere. This amp is GREAT

Beautiful od/fuzz box

I found in this pedal what I was looking on the ZVex Fuzz Factory. It seems to be a stranger for the Big Muff family. To me, it sounds like a modded Fuzz Face or Tone Bender. You can get a nasty but singing 60's/70's fuzz tones. It fuzzes, but the 6th string still breathes. I use mostly the Distortion side, but the OD is quite useful for some mild distorted parts.

Best brand new Tube Screamer I've tried

I had every Tube Screamer reissues and this one is the only one that sounds exactly the same as the old TS9. Reissues of classic pedals trend to exaggerate things. Brand new Ibanez Tube Screamer (ts9 and ts808) sounds too smooth and too middy. This one is more subtle, more natural. It doesn't make your tone like if you're listening it from an old radio.

the old ones sound a bit variable, I have owned a number of original TS9s and they were different at the same settings and were also different than a friend's 90s RI, but that RI could be set to sound just like the 80s one I owned, The old one had a bit more treble on tap with the tone knob wide open, but for most people they are awfully similar. From the audience at a show they are indistinguishable, even by the sound guy doing FOH.

Best 4x4 stompbox

This one is out of my pedalboard. Is the stompbox I always carry with me when I cannot take my whole rig. It sounds great in almost everything

Nice fuzz box

I have it because I like it, but owning a BF Wicker Tone this one is useless.

Great Small Amp

I kept this one because it sounds AWESOME when it's used a full volume. It's useless at home because this little demon at 10 is super loud, but for small gigs is perfect.

Best home amp

I've tried many little amps. Low wattage and other small amps but nothing sounds better (at home, low volume) than the Micro Cube. Is the only thing that feels like a real cranked tube amp at low volumes.

Strange bridge pickup for a Les Paul

The Custom Custom is the perfect bridge pickup for a Strat. It has tons of mids and lows, and round highs. It maybe too much for a Les Paul but in my guitar it works awesome. It's like having a midboost in it.

Perfect neck humbucker

I use a bridge Alnico 2 Pro pickup in the NECK position of my LP. It matches perfectly with the Custom Custom in the bridge position. It's bright but not harsh, the attack is round and lows super tight.

Perfect TS-Like OD

I replaced my Ibanez TS808 with the GT-OD. The mids are more focused and lows are tighter.

Great stompbox

I used to have many modulation stompboxes before buying the MM4: Ibanez CS9 Stereo Chorus, Dunlop Univibe, Boss TR-2 Tremolo and MXR Phase 90. They all sound awesome, but they're too many. The MM4 is a great piece of gear that gets the job done.

My favorite amp

I've have this head since 2003. It's modded with KT88 tubes, master volume and it has been voiced like a 1972 JMP 1959 Metal Panel.

Hybrid Strat

This is a guitar that I put together myself. The body is from a 1997 Purple Metallic American Standard and the neck is from a 1977 Strat. I love the 2 points tremolo with solid steel saddles. It used to have Lindy Fralin Vintage Hot pu's but changed them for DiMarzio FS-1

Bright Vintage Strat

This guitar is super bright. I have it modded with jumbo frets, DiMarzio FS-1 pickups and 500k volume pot

I'll bet its heavy for a strat too... of course, it looks just like Hendrix's white Woodstock strat....

fedemoroz

It's super light. I also have a 79 ash Strat that's quite heavy, but this 71 is featherweight

cool, I am always interested in hearing about the quirks of Post-CBS Fenders... that was a weird era at Fender... sounds like your 71 is more on the 60s side of weight-wise.... how were the original pickups?

fedemoroz

Yes, my 71' is like a 68. It has maple neck with maple cap fingerboard and 4 bolt joint. I don't know how the original pickups were; I've bought it 13 years ago with Fender 57' 62' pu's

fedemoroz

Main guitar

It was modded with Seymour Duncan Custom Custom (bridge) and Alnico 2 Pro (neck)

what's the weight like? I had an 88 that was a back breaking 10 lbs

fedemoroz

Hey buddy. I don't know what's the weight like. It's not a back breaking guitar but I've played much lighter LP's.
