Beautiful rich sounding guitar

Writing this review as i haven’t seen any online. hope this helps anyone who has this one!

I have had my DY-75 DCB for 8 years and it’s been marvellous. It’s originally from 1993 but has held up great, and aged quite well. Minus the minor dings.

Key things are that it’s responsive and sonically rich, deep and warm. It’s quite a mids heavy guitar, but when playing closer to the neck you get a really bouncy deeper sound.

Sounds great when plucked, strumming can really bring out the clear, bright, shimmery sound. i prefer playing with my fingers as opposed to pick because i think it brings out the richer deeper sound (which i prefer but also, skill issue )

Like all K Yairi made guitars, it’s put together wonderfully. I love the inlaid fret markings. The tuners keep up well and rarely do i play it to the point it needs to be retuned during a session. Just after leaving it along for a while.

Maybe it’s my set up but i enjoy the action. it feels very light and responsive and loud.

Jeremy Enigk uses Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Jeremy Enigk uses Gibson Les Paul Deluxe

seen in this live video of The Fire Theft playing Heaven, Enigk plays a goldtop Les Paul deluxe. I think he was using this guitar a lot during this time along with his usual sunburst Les Paul. maybe even used it on the fire theft studio album idk, if anyone knows feel free to comment
