For my five-string, I play a Sadowsky bass, mostly. I have one of his first basses. I got it in ’94 or ’95, or something like that.

Luico Hopper uses Fender Musicmaster Bass Luico Hopper uses Fender Musicmaster Bass

In this interview, Luico Hopper confirms that he owned the Fender Musicmaster Bass.

I always sang bass lines, so when I went to college, with my financial aid money, I went and bought up a MusicMaster bass, and pretty much taught myself how to play it in the dorms.

Definitely wont provide the same quality, but if youre on a budget this will do plenty for you. Just might need a little more time on the mix if you want similar audio quality

Pleasantly surprised

I get it, it’s quite an investment. I don’t even own one. But it’s mine to use at my studio space so I know I’m quite lucky. If it’s in your budget though, I highly recommend. The presence boost and low self noise make for a level of sound quality that you’re just not gonna get for cheap. Don’t be fooled by the presence boost though. I was a bit unsure, but trust me, this mic won’t give you any painfully piercing highs and it preserves a lot of warmth from the low end. Fantastic microphone all around.

Perfect.

Workflow fits my needs exactly. Just plug in and play. Whether that’s sampling vinyls from my turntable, from my phone, or live instruments, it really is as simple as plug in and go.
