Gear 11

I have nearly 20 guitars sitting around the house, but when I want to just dick around and noodle or I'm looking for some kind of inspiration, this is the guitar I pick up. Great action, great tone, classic looks - can't go wrong.
I've had this thing for 15 years and it's still a workhorse. Got it from Musicians Friend on sale, the head and straight-front cabinet. 100 watts, non-tube, but it still sounds great. The clean is warm and bright, and the distortion channels go from growl to scream and will clean up nicely with a roll of the volume knob. Four stars instead of five because the reverb has never worked. Not a problem as I get my reverb from pedals, but it'd be nice to have it there if I wanted it.
Of all the guitars I've ever owned, this one is the workhorse. The maple neck is perfect and the coil taps make sure you don't have to keep up with three or four guitars onstage - just pull the volume knob and you're good to go. If you play more than one type of music and you're looking to pare down the number of guitars you carry around, definitely give one of these a try.
Plays great, sounds great - super-fast neck.
Huge body, and mine is neck-heavy (as are all the Deans that I've played with the split headstock), but that doesn't stop it from being a metal machine. Stock pickups are great - just plug in and rock.
I bought one of these used from GC a few years ago. It'd been modded - someone replaced the pickguard and pickups with a single humbucker and single volume (no tone) knob. I love it. It's light and the neck is comfortable so when practice runs long I can stand to play it all evening. Again, not the stock pickup, but the sound I get out of mine is awesome.
Not a ton of sounds, but if you're looking for the classic Kurzweil piano/electric piano tones, this has it. It weighs a ton, but that just adds to the solidity of this thing. Wouldn't upgrade this thing unless I absolutely have to.
I got this in a bundle with the Headrush Pedalboard, and it's freakin' awesome. Loud as hell and still clean, stand-mountable or wedged like a monitor - I love this thing. I run directly from the Headrush into the FRFR-112 and board, bypassing an amp altogether. I've knocked my setup time down to about 5 minutes, and my back is thankful I'm not lugging around amp heads and cabs anymore.
Got this to replace my Pod HD500X, and it's done that - and more. It's much newer so the tech is better. I'm not sure how I got along without this thing. I run straight to the board and an FRFR-112 as a monitor - no amp. I absolutely love my HeadRush and can't recommend it highly enough.
