Roland QUAD-CAPTURE (UA-55) USB 2.0 Audio Interface
Avg price: $70.00
solid, but many small complaints
the headphone jack is dependant on the speakers, and you can't separate the outputs/volumes dispute the knobs. the audio jack for the headphones was literally just held in by the soldering joint with no other mount(no idea who thought this was a good idea) so it broke off. other then that, it's fine. checks basically all boxes on paper, but falls short in a few areas.
Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol A61
Avg price: $233.07
solid budget keyboard
easily the best feeling keyboard for 250$ (cad off amazon) from my experience. fairly no thrills, but it's easily some of the best feeling keys from what i've experienced. not quite good enough to replace a fully weighted for me, wish they coulda snuck a few sliders and or drum pads on this even if it bumped the price up like 50$ so that way i use it basically as my workhorse, but good enough overall. just get a lunchpad mini on the side if you want the drumpad i guess. included software is eh, the only thing i really feel like is worth is the gentleman, being a very solid piano synth sample thingy. add a 20$ sustain pedal off of amazon and it really helps the experiance.
Avg price: $372.41
powerful synth at this price range, with built in usb midi keyboard
powerful monovoice synth, nice built in arp synth, and the built in (but optional to using) midi keyboard built in (which works without being plugged in) easily makes this a stand out desktop synth for me. the the "semi modular" patch bay i can extend out to my other synths is very nice to have. easily my top recommended beginner synth.
however, i will say that i feel as if it's rather limited, and keeps sucking me into the same patches, so that can be annoying
Avg price: $83.41
unlke the the launch pad of the same generation, this is useful
read my review of the launchpad mk1 for my opinions on that, but as for this, much more useful. being able to control the pan and level of your 8 main tracks, and have an ease start stop button is much more useful then the launch pad in a studio setting
Avg price: $93.87
solid usb mic, built in stand is nice, but only magnetic so it's lost
as the title says, somewhere between an at-2020 and my xm-8500, and each are solid, only got cause it's basically the only solid usb mic i used.
Avg price: $47.34
this thing is surprizingly flexable and i fucking love it
as the title says, not too much more to add other then it's just really fun, quick, and easy to pull out and play around with
Beadbrain Skull Rhythm Shaker - Multi Color
Avg price: $4.91
my most bias review
after having this since 6th grade (over 10 years now) she's still kicking, batter shits out, knobs are iffy, and many other issues, but i still love her, solid beginner bass, wouldn't sell her for the world
solid speakers
love this, no thrill, the matte black looks nice compared to other budget speaker options. if oyu can find these for a good $, i see nothing wrong with these. they are a little gutless in the bass though.
