The underdog of amps!
The Peavey Bandit 112 Transtube is a solid, reliable, and versatile piece of equipment. This is my home use practice amp as well as giging rig. Granted it’s supposed to emulate a tube amp, while I disagree that it does, this amp is a completely different animal. Plenty loud, sounds great when mic-ed it features a wide array of tones spanning all different genres of music. This amp can do country, it can do blues and jazz, while I use it for mostly rock and hard rock this amp can EASILY go full on metal. EQ is great and very responsive. Added features are a presence knob and a power percentage knob. When the power percentage knob is around 8 or 9 o clock the sound is more compressed (I assume that’s where the “transtube” comes in) at full power…you’d have to experience it in person, it’ll give you goosebumps it sounds so good! Great amp, highly recommend for anyone from beginner to even pro musicians, it’s a solid workhorse and built like a tank!
