so deep

I gave this a five because this is what I think it can be if I was able to dig deep enough into it.. the crazy and sometimes cooky devices from the user library available for download and the devices that come with it in Ableton are worth the 5 alone.. but good luck building anything in here unless you are a genius.. building from scratch in Reaktor is more manageable..

ehh.. its alright but was cheap and decent for playing some tracks at the house.. make sure to get a proper sub though

why does anyone use serato?

I love traktor.. for techno DJing and getting creative when mixing. working with 4 decks, building up special moments, etc.. this can't be beat.. Ableton great for DJing but not spontaneous

would have liked the standard xone filter setup we are all used to (like on the 92).. and DEFINATELY have the effects be able to operate in Send mode like on the DB4.. Sound tho is amazing and fat.. not like a Pioneer DJM.

really great mixing and mastering headphones

would have liked a cord that could be disconnected from them.. also.. they are a tad big for my head so sometimes i need to tighten them with my hands to get full bass response.. but for mixing when you need to use headphones.. if you don't want to spend $1k.. these are pretty amazing

revolutionary when it came out

this is great but using it can be a bit fiddly and I'd have changed the way some things work. Reaktor 6 implemented these ideas better.

A must have

Strong headphone and monitor outputs... 14 Ins and 14 outs.. 10 of each or 1/4" line level (maybe one side was 8.. don't hate on me for being too lazy to move over 3 feet and look at the back)... and they are DC coupled outputs.. fun having Reaktor or Oscillot play nice with my Kilpatrick Phenol... If you use a good bit of hardware.. get this... it was cheap too. $500.. Also can use this as a DJ interface (all those outputs.. 4 decks no issue.. come on people.. this techno mixing.. use the technology..

pretty dope.. got for an amazing price

The samples are great but i got lazy and MY workflow with this and Ableton just slowed me up. I would build some drums and record them into Ableton... I just cut out the middleman and used Simpler inside Ableton... Now I do almost all my sound design out of the box

I also don't like how all the cool new sample banks only work for the V2 of the software...

only reason not a 5 is the 30mm faders.. they now have cc midi control over the parameters but I'm yet to find what cc# does what.. and through experimentation I haven't found the ones for what I most automate..
