The quality of the C01 is more than enough for any first home studio, but definitely wont stand up to the likes of the Rode range of Studio Condensers.
for the low price you pay for the mic, you get a whole heap of bank for your buck, and all in a very strong case that you wouldn't be too scared to drop.
