"El bajo acústico al cual te referís tiene su historia: por el año 2000, Osvaldo Blanco (lamentablemente fallecido), quien nos ayudaba en algunas tareas de producción, por su vinculación con el mundo de las antigüedades, me informa que en un anticuario de San Telmo existía un instrumento acústico triangular que a simple vista parecía sano, y que si lo quería ver me contactaba con el dueño antes de que lo vendieran e hicieran con él una lámpara de pie. Fuimos y me aluciné. Era un laud ruso, una balalaika de tamaño grande de tres cuerdas. Rápidamente se la llevé a [el reconocido luthier] Adolfo de Castro y me dijo que haciéndole algunas cosas se podría recuperar. Cuando me llamó para decirme que creía que ya la tenía la fui a buscar, la llevé a la sala de ensayo, la afiné en Re, la pasé por un pre, de ahí al equipo y arrancó. Fue muy interesante el sonido, era una mezcla de contrabajo y un Precision viejo. La usé en esos conciertos del Gran Rex, entre otros lugares, de donde se utilizaron las sesiones para Vivo acá."
