Description
Core Design ROOT started from a tone I couldn’t let go of. I dug into the signal flow, understood what made it work, and rebuilt it into something of my own. It stays clean when you’re light and thickens when you lean in.
Controls gain - Sets the amount of drive into the preamp. contour - Shifts the midrange shape, helping the guitar sit differently in a mix. presence - Adjusts upper harmonic content and brightness. master - Controls output level and increases power amp saturation and compression when pushed. sat - Increases saturation, bite and density when you want more push. fat - Adds low-end weight and body. voice - Switches between two different vocings of the preamp section Other Features I/O Noise Gate Oversampling Resizable interface Built-in presets MIDI Learn Three Speaker & Mic combinations tailored for ROOT IR Loader The DSP for LC_ROOT was designed and written by David Maxim Micic. While inspired by specific classic tones, it wasn’t built to copy any amplifier down to the last component.
It started from inspiration and grew into its own voice, with features and an interface built around his simple, practical workflow.
