Description

Available as a kit or a fully made unit, the Rakit Drum Synth is based on the Boss PC-2/AMDEK PCK-100 percussion synthesizer. The sounds produced by the synth are not limited to what you would expect to associate with drum sounds and can vary from big bass drums to tapping on glass to UFO space drum-wobbly things! Not only does this Drum Synth do sonic justice to the original but we have also put our own spin on it with extra modifications including:

Rakit Drum Synth

soundonsound.com

Rakit's Drum Synth is a quirky gem that delivers unexpected fun and flexibility at an unbeatable price. Its design is unique, straying from traditional materials and opting for lightweight resin, which can be a double-edged sword—great for portability but too fragile for drumstick play. The sound palette is engaging, offering retro video game vibes and classic electro-drum tones, although it lacks snares and cymbals. While it offers useful controls and a straightforward setup, the absence of rear connections and a limited decay time could frustrate some users. Overall, it strikes a balance between a playful toy and a serious tool for synth enthusiasts.
