This guitar can give you everything from a jazzy tone to a tele twang. No wonder, as it is has features from a lot of classics. The guitar is a double-cutaway thinline tele with a glued in neck. The bridge is like a Les Paul bridge, Pickups are Seymour Duncan P-90s.
The sustain is great, tone just stays! Get one if you can (there are only 700 around).
I liked the clean sound with or/without the fat boost, but I could not bond with the burn channel. Even tried to swap speakes, but no improvement. Also a tad noisy so I sold it.
Looking backwards, I should have picked a Deluxe Reverb straight away and add an external boost pedal.
With this pedal you can get the famous Dumble sound and much more. I sold it due to the fact, that I have a Herminda Zendrive, so there was some overlapping territory. However, I regret it.
This pedal delivers a nice gritty - fuzzy sound, It also can be used as a Treble Booster. I like it a lot, but it can get a tad noisy at higher settings. Recommendable.
This amp has an incredible clean sound - on par with a Twin if not better. However, it has also a drive channel which shares the equalization with the clean channel. The drive channel´s sound is on an OK level, it is useable but not subperb.
However what annoyed me, is the fact that the volume difference between the two channels is too big. As I a result, I sold it. Later I found out there are possiblities to mod the amp to get this solved.
If you are looking for a great clean sound - get one. Pricewise the amp is a still a sleeper so you can get a great clean sound for 300 - 400 Euros.
Soundwise it is a good clone of the MXR Phase 90. It has a warm tone and also has a mini toggle switch for vintage MXR tones and more phasing tones as well. However, at least mine features also a volume drop. It is not significant, but noticable - therefore only 3 stars.
Great Stones and Doors tone, but you can get nice jazzy sounds if you dial back the gain. Rare. You get the SVT sound but at a lower volume. I use it for recording purposes mostly with a Mesa Cabclone.
Superb clean and crunch tone, which can be controlled by the volume knob of your guitar.
Takes boosters very well, however due to its distinct tones not all overdrive pedals work well with this amp. The general sound of the amp will allways be present due to the easy breakup of the amp (especially compared with my Twin). However I like it very much.
