When I was in 5th grade, all I wanted for Christmas was a Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar Short Scale Electric Bass. I remember seeing it for the first time hanging on the wall of my local music store. Without ever trying it, I got it, and all these years later it continues to amaze me. The neck is of superb quality with a smooth satin finish, and the fret edges feel round and peaceful like fret edges should. I personally enjoy the tone of the bass, although the pots are rather cheap and I have rewound the P bass pickups to my own liking. If you do not currently own this bass, you are missing out on one of the best value instruments ever produced.

I picked one of these up one day when I was at guitar centre because they were on sale, overall a really shitty amp but a great deal for a beginner or someone who wants a cheap practice amp. I like woodworking, so I built a larger, more visually appealing wooden enclosure for the amp. I used all the same hardware and electronics from this amp, but with a better speaker rear-loaded onto a 3/8" piece of wood, my amp has enormous sonic variety that this cheap piece of shit can only dream of giving you. Don't buy it unless you know how to mod stuff.
I paid about $160 at Guitar Centre for a used one of these that someone had mounted into a Backline 115 body. The wattage was far too much for the internal speaker to handle and it's already blown, but through a good cab I think this would probably be an amazing amp for someone who wants a great tone. It isn't as powerful as bass amps these days, but I find that it's plenty loud enough for gigging with my band.

No matter how forcefully you play, it is impossible for this strap to come off. And if you want to take it off or put it on, it takes less than a second because the release mechanism is ingenious. I personally use the strap on my bass because I was tired of the bass just falling off the strap while playing. This strap is also extremely soft and comfortable to wear.
