Gear 15

The standard Marshall 4x12. Picked mine up for $100 from a friend, tolex is in rough shape, but structurally sound and the casters still work well! Replaced the stock G12T-75's with a mix of 65w and 75w Creambacks. Mine rattles a bit with certain notes at high volume so I plan on reinforcing it structurally as well as re-wiring it with some better components.
This was custom built for me by Science, 100 Watts, 4xKT88 power section, 2 Channels, will go from blackface cleans to SLO gain and everything in between. I play in a wide variety of bands, from Stoner/Doom metal to Surf Punk to Blues/Americana and the Decolonizer covers all the bases beautifully. Beautiful design, with some very common sense and functional features, including external bias points for the power section. Alex at Science was extremely pleasant and easy to work with, and his build quality and attention to detail are impeccable. Highly recommended!
It's by no means the perfect guitar, but it is my #1, the first choice in the bands that I write music for. Plays beautifully and was a natural fit for me the first time I picked it up. Not as warm as most LP's I've played, a little more on the aggressive side, just the way I like it. Mine is a 2012 limited edition in Honeyburst. Originally equipped with Burstbuckers, the bridge pickup has been replaced with a Wolfetone Marshallhead. Currently strung up with Dean Markley 13's, tuned to D standard, pots and caps replaced with CTS and Orange Drops respectively, and rewired to a 50's wiring scheme.
