With just 10 knobs and completely independent controls for it’s 2 ½ channels, the Decolonizer provides uncompromising tone and utility without any bells or whistles to get in the way.

Channel 1 (the gnarlier of the two) ranges from classic British crunch to extreme high gain (it's our highest gain amp). This channel can dish out tons of articulate distortion while retaining its core voice. Even at this channel’s highest gain it has roaring assault with plenty of grind and a dense, tight low end.

For added utility, the new MkII version features a switchable Overdrive boost control on Channel 1. The Overdrive control adds gain on top of Gain control’s respective setting, and even with the Gain dialed-in for a mild crunch, the Overdrive control still has enough drive on reserve to take your sound into heavy saturation. This control can be switched On/Off via the 2nd button on the included footswitch (The Overdrive can also be switched while in using Channel 2, enabling you to pre-set the Overdrive mode before switching to Channel 1).

Channel 1 also features it’s own Loudness control and independent Bass, Middle, Treble EQ that retains musicality at any setting.

Channel 2 (the cleaner of the two) is a vintage British style channel that begins with warm clean tones, plenty of pedal-friendly headroom, and smoothly transitions into edge-of-breakup. Further up on the dial, you’ll find a dynamic snarling crunch tone that compliments any guitar, leaving off where the next channel begins. This channel also features it's own Gain, Treble, Bass, and Loudness controls allowing independent tone shaping.

Like all our amps, the Decolonizer MkII is available in 50W, 100W, or 200W, and can be fitted with our new ultra-transparent series Ghost effects loop.

Dream Amp

This was custom built for me by Science, 100 Watts, 4xKT88 power section, 2 Channels, will go from blackface cleans to SLO gain and everything in between. I play in a wide variety of bands, from Stoner/Doom metal to Surf Punk to Blues/Americana and the Decolonizer covers all the bases beautifully. Beautiful design, with some very common sense and functional features, including external bias points for the power section. Alex at Science was extremely pleasant and easy to work with, and his build quality and attention to detail are impeccable. Highly recommended!
