It's important to consider mine is a 68, with a real tortoise shell guard, and therefore may not be fully representative of the modern ones. Mine is very sturdy, has a very full sound, and has worked great for recording, if anything being too loud. It's a beautiful sounding and very inspiring guitar, and I do a lot of my writing on it. Overall a great purchase, totally worth it for me.

This was my first guitar, and it's been great. I've played shows and spent many hours on that fretboard writing over the past 2 years. The bridge humbucker on mine is just magical. I will say the vibrato bar started sticking in the slot and falling apart, but those are extremely easy to replace, and truth be told, you don't really need one to tap into the instrument.

The coil splits are extremely useful, and with some toying, you can get some pretty unique sounds with it, not to mention it does the typical "Les Paul Thing" Extremely well, and punches well above it's class for that. I do recommend getting these used, as not only can you get better pricing, but in my opinion it feels better once the satin on the back wears into a gloss (The Top is gloss from the factory.). The only issue I've had with this guitar was some brief cutting on the neck pickup, but all that took was 2 minutes and a soldering gun to fix.

Definitely does the typical marshall thing with some good distortion or drive pedals, but not too dirty off the bat. It handles distortion well, but isn't easy to distort naturally. I would definitely recommend changing the tubes after a year or so, but thats with extremely regular use. \

I run this as a light drive, it's the first thing my signal hits coming off the guitar. Not only does it make a great light drive on it's own, If you run it into a muff, it can help unmuddy the muff without making it too brittle. Together they make an incredible fuzzy, full range distortion.

This wah has 2 circuits you can switch between, a high quality expression, and a built in boost. Quite simply, it does most things you would want a modern wah to do. The build quality is superb as well.

The price is at the right place, and the sound is pretty consistent with that of any tank reverb i've tried. It can be used for everything from a subtle verb on the back end to that Spaghetti Western/ Johnny Cash vibe. It's also really easy to operate, and it doesn't feel like you have to tweak it too much one you get. your settings right. Just expect a more tanky/ springy verb, not a studio verb.

I used this set at 2 live shows, and to record my first 2 EPs. They worked good, but I began to encounter Issues. Not sure if it is the cable or the mic itself, but I started getting buzz when I ran into it, and it would occasionally start cutting out. The Mic stand also recently stopped working as intended, It no longer locks at the midpiece, and rotates with any force.
