My first Ableton controller...

So, I just purchased this controller today and it's amazing! Granted, I'm just starting out with Ableton and now how the correct 64-button set up!

Really love this controller! Great quality parts.

The knobs, keys and pads are perfect for me. I enjoy them more than the equivelant Akai model. It's also beautiful, with the wood grain and white body. It fits perfectly into my setup.

Work great for what I need...and I bought them for $5!

I was, once again, perusing my local record exchange and I came upon a "like new" condition Blue Snowball from the late 2000s. It was on sale for $15 and I had some loyalty points and a coupon that brought the price down to $5. It didn't come with the stand, but I also happened to have some Amazon gift card money...bought a desktop stand and the rest is history! Great for podcasts and things of that nature. I use it primarily for intros, outtros and sample type recordings for my mixes.

is the snowball a dynamic USB mic? I forget

tsaucekidd

the snowball is in fact a condenser mic

Great addition, as a second pair of monitors...

I found these, the original, passive, KRK RoKits at a local record exchange. They are in amazing condition and sound amazing withe my main monitors (JBL L-112s). The KRKs cover the high end really well and the high/mid range and the JBLs cover everything below insanely well...so I feel like I have a complete monitor setup with these bad boys.

Comfortable, but too much bass

These are the headphones I use when I am DJing because they have a very comfortable, padded piece that bridges the headphones. My Studio AKG K240's are much better sounding (more accurate for music production), but have a very scratchy plastic bridge.

I love this powerfull little bastard!

This was another vintage hand me down from my father and it rocks! I get too much power (I know, that doesn't really exist) sometimes...I highly reccomend if you need a pre-amp to power your old speakers.

Just fine for the money I spent

This is cheap, but good microphone that I found on Amazon for a really low price. I just use it when I am DJing or need to record myself saying something and then add a bunch of eqs/plugins to make an interesting sounding vocal clip. This is not a mic that you'd want to recording anything serious with though. It is great for what I paid and for what I use it for though.

Just what I need.

I love Akai, and this is the perfect piece of hardware for me. It has 25 keys and control knobs for everything I can think to use at one time. It also has great pad and the keys/pads are sensitive to the amount of pressure you put on them. It's also very easy to set up. I highly reccommend.

LOVE IT!

This has been my computer for almost 5 years now and I'm in love. It's been a reliable beast ever since I purchased it...and with my upgrades (22 GB of RAM), it's still relevant and powerful enough to handle anything I need today.

Really great, just not for live performance of 4 decks...

I love my Traktor S2 MKII, mainly because I was using a MixTrack Edge before this. I plan on getting the Traktor Remix Deck controller, because that's my only gripe...I was better control of my 2 remix decks. Other than that, I'm loving it!

Just bought it, but I'm loving it so far

I can't really say to much about it yet, as I have just started using the Maschine Mikro and the Maschine software, but so far it's working great, especially for a used piece of hardware.

Great!

I love this audio interface. I think it's perfect for someone like me, who is just a couple years into my audio production work. However, as with all hardware & software, I do have a gripe or two. The main one is that outputs 3 & 4 are not monitored. I wanted to hook up a DJ controller to my inputs and then be able to monitor the DJ controller thought my 3/4 outputs, but that is not a possibility. I found a different way of hooking up my controller and everything works fine through Traktor, but it would have been nice to have it the way I originally wanted.

Classic and always accurate

I bought these 10 years ago when I was going to school for music business and was taking an engineering/production coarse. They are still some of the highest rated and most popular headphones in their price range. I highly recommend getting a pair. The only drawback is the cable will most definitely need replacing and you MUST order the replacement from AKG.

Amazing vintage monitors

I was given these by my father when he "upgraded" to a new surround sound system in his house. He had just re-foamed the speakers etc... These are amazing sounding monitors from 1980. I wouldn't trade them for new KRK's or anything like that, EVER.

Great for beginners, but not enough buttons/knobs

When I started out messing around with this piece of hardware and Traktor, it was exactly what I needed at home...and for the price it is unbeatable. But, once you are more advanced and have a thorough understanding of Traktor (or Ableton Live), this controller just doesn't have enough controls. Obviously it's only for 2 decks, not 4 and there are only 3 or 4 cue buttons etc... But if you're experimenting and just starting out, the Mixtrack Edge is perfect! Especially at the price point.
