Gear 11

Solid Sitka spruce top with scalloped braces Mahogany back and sides Slim mahogany neck Ebony fingerboard Gotoh vintage slotted peghead style tuners Sweet sounding guitar; Beautiful tones! Traditional good looks. Beautiful spruce top mahogany body parlor guitar. Quality and attention to detail is evident; Low clean action. The guitar has incredible sound for its size. Outstanding lows for a small guitar. It offers top value for money. Plenty of YouTube video reviews to see and hear for yourself.
I was looking for a pair of Sony MDR-V150 but I stumbled across these for a great price on eBay and I bought them and I’m glad I did. The dynamic range is quite good; excellent sound clarity, plenty bass and highs. Frequency Response is 5 Hz - 30 kHz. They have 50mm drivers. They are plastic but (what isn’t these days) and seem to be pretty sturdy. Just take care not to drop the things on the floor.
Solid Engelmann Spruce top and solid Mahogany back and sides. The same wood profile of the Martin D-18 but with the Taylor tone; warm and full for both strumming and finger picking. The neck is a tropical mahogany design that features an ebony fretboard that also features Ivoroid binding as well as abalone dot inlays. Lower end is very defined. The DN5 doesn’t lack any characteristics of sound. There is abundant volume as well as projection. Very capable and versatile guitars. The line has been discontinued so if you find one the wood is getting older and the guitar should be even more resonant. At the time of this review, mine is 12 years old and it's great.
Amazing sound quality; clear and very balanced. These have been described as the go to headphones of audio professionals. Got a sharp pencil deal with these, put new earpads on them and I'm completely satisfied. I think the sound quality is better with these than the V700's I also own. SERIOUS audiophiles will tell you they each serve a different purpose. I don't think you can go wrong with the Sony MDR7506.
