GREAT Drednought Guitar
Solid Engelmann Spruce top and solid Mahogany back and sides. The same wood profile of the Martin D-18 but with the Taylor tone; warm and full for both strumming and finger picking. The neck is a tropical mahogany design that features an ebony fretboard that also features Ivoroid binding as well as abalone dot inlays. Lower end is very defined. The DN5 doesn’t lack any characteristics of sound. There is abundant volume as well as projection. Very capable and versatile guitars. The line has been discontinued so if you find one the wood is getting older and the guitar should be even more resonant. At the time of this review, mine is 12 years old and it's great.
