At 0:38 of this video, Acey begins showing the gear he uses when he tours with Dope, starting with the Hagstrom Viking Bass. His model is of course black and is a short scale, hollow-body bass. He plays with the bass tuned for C# and then drops it with a Hipshot De-tuner.
He goes on to mention that it was his friend Jim Jones who turned him on to Hagstrom basses.
