Nolly commonly builds his entire bass tone in 'the box' (DAW) and utilises EQ, compression, distortion and bass cab impulse responses to build his tone, all before moving onto making it fit into his mix.

His settings will typically be the following: Band 1 (0Hz-275Hz) - Bypass Band 2 (275Hz-20KHz) - Heavy Saturation - Mix at 80% - Feedback / Frequency at 0% - Dynamics at 50% - Drive at 75% - Tone left flat - Level at 0dB (no boost or cut)
