Alan Ashby's Gear

The AA-600 is a no thrills, back to basics guitar, it can simply be described as a metal machine. Playing rhythm guitar for world renowned metalcore band Of Mice & Men Alan Ashby has trusted ESP guitars to deliver their iconic sound since he joined the band in 2011 and they've yet to let him down! The AA-600 is modelled after his custom shop guitar and does exactly what he needs it to do; with a string thru body and single EMG 81 pickup in the bridge it distributes the classic metal sound that's needed for a rhythm guitarist. The LTD locking tuners keeps the tuning in check and the ebony fingerboard on Thin U shaped neck makes it a dream to riff on. There's no messing about with the AA-600.

“A must. When I first joined the band I didn’t have one, but when you’re playing a different venue every night, sometimes you’re getting feedback – especially with how much gain we use. So we just turn up the noise suppressor and it cuts all the extra noise out.”

Can be seen playing this guitar throughout the entire video, the first view of it is at 0:01 when the band is walking onstage. Alan used this guitar throughout Warped Tour 2012 and used it for their drop c songs (I know this because OG Loko and Ohioisonfire are both in drop c).
