Alexi Laiho

In a YouTube video by TotalGuitar titled "Me And My Guitar: Alexi Laiho's (Children Of Bodom) ESP Alexi Blacky," Alexi Laiho showcases his custom ESP Alexi Blacky guitar. This solid body electric guitar features a matte black finish with gloss black pinstripes, black pearl sawtooth inlays, scalloped frets from 20 to 24, and black nickel hardware, along with a larger cutaway for enhanced playability.

This is his rack tuner for live and studio use.

According to Premier Guitar's interview, Laiho uses Marshall 1960B cabinets.

In both the description to the video and at 0:00-0:05, Alexi Says he is using his signature EMG pickup set, the EMG ALX-HZ.

After Alexis death some of his amps were sold at an auction. From teh listing: "Alexi used this amp mostly for training and in the studio."

Alexi Laiho (given to him by Roope Latvala) is now with guitarist Daniel Freyberg (ex-Naildown, ex-Norther, ex-Children of Bodom, ex-Bodom After Midnight), who bought it from Alexi Laiho.

Alexi sold it to daniel freyberg (ex-northern) in 2003 when he got his deal with esp guitars, you can see some videos from 2003 (alexi interview in 1999, tuska 2003, sinergy live 2002 moscow, portugal 2003) you can see it in northern's last concert in 2012 played by daniel itself.

Someone else said that he used an ibanez rg220b, I play an rg220b and I already know that the guitar in this video is not an rg220b. it looks like an ibanez rg550 black with A maple fretboard. first of all the tone and volume knobs are different than the rg220b but match the rg550 and second of all the rg220 has no middle pickup but the rg550 does. and third of all the fretboard is maple and the rg220b did not have a maple fretboard.

Alexi Laiho used the Tech 21 SansAmp PSA1 as a backup preamp during live performances in the 2000s, as shown in the user-uploaded photo.
