Bad Suns' Bass Guitars
In March 2015, Gavin Bennett, of the Bad Suns posted this photo of a Fender VI. This photo was selected as proof because it is easily confused with Fender Jazzmasters and older versions of the VI. In other photos you can see that it has a hum-bucking bridge pickup and a 5-way selector indicating that it is a Pawnshop Series 6-string bass.
In Bad Suns' official video for their acoustic version of "salt" bassist, Gavin Bennett, is seen throughout the shoot playing an olympic white American Jazz Bass with black pick guard. At the 0:27 mark there is a clear shot of the American J-Bass truss rod access at the base of the neck instead of the headstock.
