The signal chain for Bobby's vocals was a Neumann U87 Ai mic, into an Avalon VT-737SP mic pre, and then a Universal Audio 1176 limiter & went straight into the UAD Apollo 8 Quad. I like using the Neve 1073 mic pre sometimes too. On the picture above you can see that he is using the Neumann U87 for recording vocals. The microphone can be seen 0:26 into this video.
