Bora Karaca
Bora Karaca's Guitars
Bora Karaca used a Takamine G-Series on the 2011 Good & Evil tour with Tally Hall.
In this YouTube video, uploaded to the Cojum Dip YouTube channel, the Ibanez AX7221 7-String guitar can be seen throughout the video, being used by Bora. At 4:27, Bora can be seen recording a guitar solo for the song Tap Tap Tap, where he ends up yelling into the pickups. The fact that there are two "skunk stripes" rather than a singular one confirm that the guitar is an AX7221, and not a similar looking Ibanez guitar.
Bora's Ibanez AX7221 has custom decals on it to resemble the look of a hollow-body.
In this photo in a live performance on November 30, 2023, when Bora guest starred with Andrew Horowitz while opening for another band, Bora Karaca can be seen using a Player Plus Telecaster with a Butterscotch Blonde body.
The placement of the Fender logo being closer to the nut, and the tuning pegs being angular (unlike the vintage Telecaster models that also have the Fender logo closer to the nut) indicate that the guitar is a Player Plus Telecaster.
In the "What is Cojum Dip?" YouTube video, at 4:06 (and at many other points), Bora can be seen using a Dillion DR-450.
Older models have more detailed knobs in comparison to newer DR-450s. The guitar itself resembles a PRS Hollowbody, and can be easily mistaken for one---but the Dillion logo can be seen clearly on the fretboard at the 4:15 timestamp.
The guitar was also seen in pictures of Bora's studio in Los Angeles.
In this photo, Bora (portraying Bodur the Clumsy) appears to be using an Ibanez RG321. The headstock shape, what is visible of the headstock markings, and what is visible of the controls and pickup selector match with many Ibanez RG models. The wood that is visible on the fretboard matches with that of the RG321 model.
In these photos, Bora Karaca (portraying Bodur the Magnificent) can be seen using a customized Kiesel DC. Kiesel's website has a Custom Builder page, which allows for a lot of modificiations, some of which present here are not available on the website itself.
Some of the customizations include: set-through neck, 2x4 headstock, buckeye burl top wood, 3 piece neck with maple wood and purple heart stripe, gold color pickup pole pieces, humbucker-single-humbucker configuration, and many more, which can all be seen here: https://www.kieselguitars.com/builder/guitar?type=guitar&buildId=bd0c7d4b-01ce-467d-ac92-d1bd088927c8?utm_campaign=shared-guitar-build&utm_source=user-shared
The Kiesel Aries has a very similar body shape, but the set-through neck option doesn't support a body with no bevels. The Kiesel DC, however, does support having no bevels.
In this live concert from Sonic Lunch 2024, Bora Karaca can be seen using the BMG Special LE in a Tangerine Dream finish (with a different pickguard than what the Tangerine Dream typically comes with). He uses this guitar throughout most of the performance, and is first seen right at the start of the video.
In this Instagram video, Bora Karaca can briefly be seen in the background using a Gary Kramer R-36 Turbulence with a Glossy Black finish.
In this Instagram video, Bora Karaca can briefly be seen towards the end using an Ormsby TX GTR 7 String with a Shell Pink finish.
