Brian Tichy's Drum Sets
"Fun session today getting great, large, poppin' real drums sounds with my 26/14/16/18 maple, Supraphonic @officialludwigdrums, and @paistecymbals @regal_tip and @remopercussion along with my 2 badass musician brother buds from NJ... More tracking the next two days..."
"The Dead Daisies have begun at Sienna Studios with @MartiFrederiksen producing and @RossHogarth engineering. Worked with them since '96 and '93 respectively...both know their stuff and we are getting great drum sounds! The @Ludwig 6 1/2 X 14 Supraphonic takes the cake as usual! Getting the lovely Al VH / Bonham / Derosier / Jerry Shirley honk and bonk out of it! The Paistes and Remos are killin as usual along with Regal Tip Tish Stix! One track down!"
"Tracking drums for "Merry Tichmas" instrumental Christmas album begins! Details and pre-order info soon! 🌲⛄️🎅🏻🎁 @ludwigdrumshq @regal_tip @canopusdrumsofficial @remopercussion @paistecymbals @latinpercussion"
"Was so excited to rock out on this vintage 70’s @ludwigdrumshq kit I picked up in the summer that I forgot to put up the symbols! 😜 I finally cleaned it up and re-headed it! Sounds amazing! Original heads still on the kick! @remopercussion coated emps on tops and ambs on bottom! I call this kit “Peartzo”. It’s a combo of Peart and Bonzo! The color: “Derosier Cal Jam II White” ... come on, Michael Derosier rules! And owned it at Cal Jam II with Heart!
The kit: 6-8-10 concert toms with black dots, 13x9 closed tom tucked under hihat, 14x10, 16x16, 18x18, and 26x14 with my new vintage Leedy 5.5x14 snare that highly resembles the one I’ve had my whole life. It sound almost as good but not quite.... I’ll post vid clip soon so u can hear this! The toms are singing! Don’t forget... “Make it sound right, tune ‘em nice ‘n tight” 💥💥🥁🥁👍🏼👍🏼🎊🎉🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃"
