In this 2016 social media post, Firth writes: "In anticipation of the new Cradle of Filth album, based on themes of Victorian horror, I recently spent a little time with my old friend Void Works in a Victorian graveyard, showcasing my new axe from Schecter Guitars. Of course, I'll be playing bass on the new Cradle album, but it was on a Hellraiser C-1 FR like this that I wrote a couple of the new songs set to feature."
In this 2023 social media post, Firth writes: "Great practice session this morning going over the Saor set, including a new song I haven't played live before. I've got my Solo-II Supreme singing beautifully with a new set of Newtone Strings - a slightly heavier gauge than I've been using previously. I'm not 100% decided, but I think I'll be sticking with them."
In this 2024 social media post, Firth writes: "How about this for a dream bass rig? Thanks to Darkglass Electronics the dream has come true! This beautiful new 2x12 cabinet arrived with me recently, and although I've only been able to test it at very conservative volumes so far, the results have been fantastic. Not to mention it looks super sharp, and weighs less than 20kg!"
In this 2023 social media post, Firth describes using the Darkglass Microtubes X Ultra live.
In this 2021 social media post, Firth writes about his new Darkglass amp head. Based on the top panel, it appears to be the 500v2.
In this interview, Firth reports preferring to use a Dunlop Gator Grip 1.5mm pick.
Firth can be seen playing a Fender Jazz 5 string bass in this photo from Wacken 2012.
It can also be seen at 7:32 in this live video at Wacken 2012: https://youtu.be/2GPhho5PALE?si=zAlOKjoLFwbbDUBk&t=452
In an interview, Firth mentions the Jazz bass: "For the first two shows I did with Cradle, I used a Fender Jazz bass, so that would’ve been a bolt-on neck, but then I went out and got the Schecter."
