We can see Declan using this explorer all along the live, only pb, we can't clearly see which version of the explorer he have, we don't know if it's a 2018 or a 2019 edition. He removed the cover of his bridge pickup

In a video by Premier Guitar titled "Amyl and the Sniffers' Declan Martens Rig Rundown Guitar Gear Tour," guitarist Declan Mehrtens discusses his Gibson Flying V 2019 at the 5:22 mark. He mentions that he primarily uses this guitar as a backup for his Gibson Explorer. The Gibson Flying V can also be seen on stage with him during the 2024 tour.

Declan Mehrtens has confirmed his extensive use of the Gibson Explorer Electric Guitar, having played around 300 gigs with it and featuring it on nearly every track of "Cartoon Darkness." During the recording process, he fitted the guitar with flatwound strings and a Lollar P-90 pickup in the bridge. For touring purposes, he opted for a Seymour Duncan Saturday Night Special in the bridge while retaining the stock neck pickup. The guitar is tuned a half-step down, with an identical model kept as a backup. During the Amyl and the Sniffers Rig Rundown with Chris Kies for Premier Guitar, it was shown that Declan Mehrtens uses a Fender Telecaster Deluxe for the set’s softest song, "Big Dreams."
