At the 7:05 mark of this 2023 interview posted to Youtube, DJ Sound states:
I gotta Boss 660 beat machine -- I think I've told everybody that [...] Shoutout to DJ Livewire, may he rest in peace. He's the one that programmed [the DR-660] for me and put it together, to make them nice sounds on it. [...] Livewire was somethin' serious, man. I miss him.
DJ Livewire passed away (heart attack) in 2003 at the age of roughly 30. His beats ended up on a lot of Memphis classics before he departed.
