Doyle Bramhall II

Doyle Bramhall II uses a 1969 Marshall Super Bass for live work including the 2004 Eric Clapton Crossroads Guitar Festival.

In this interview, Doyle Bramhall Jr. talks about his amp setup saying:

I’ve been using this Blankenship amp, and it’s basically a 50 watt [Marshall] Super Bass, which obviously was not made. But he made that one for me. And just a Fender 2 x 12 cab.

While recording in Dallas for Eric Claptons "Session For Robert J" record, Doyle Bramhall II played a 1960 Gibson GA-18 Explorer amp.

Doyle Bramhall II uses his Marshalls, but the Blitz 50 has also been a major part of his tone for years, and on a lot of really big tours. I heard a rumor that the Savage he plays is actually a custom unit with no reverb.

Doyle Bramhall II is using old vintage Marshall 4x12 cabinets from the 70s for stage work.

While performing at Eric Claptons 2004 Crossroads Guitar Festival, Doyle Bramhall II used a pair of 1969 Marshall Super Bass amps alongside two 1976 60W Marshall 2x12 cabinets.

While in the studio for Eric Claptons "Session For Robert J", Doyle Bramhall II used a 1950s Fender Twin.

Doyle Bramhall II uses a Grammatico Kingsville amp, as noted by Grammatico Amps on their Facebook page, similar to the one used by Jimmie Vaughan.

Doyle Bramhall II used the Supro Delta King 12 onstage with Eric Clapton on his 2024 world tour. The amp is visible on the left side of Bramhall's amps from 4:55 into the video.
